Chinese delegation from Lanzhou University visit Kenya from 22nd TO 25th November 2011rability

This visit by the Chinese delegation from Lanzhou University was a follow-up on the visit made by the KARI researchers from 21st to 28th October 2011. This was an invitation by KARI to see possible areas of collaboration in technical capacity building and also technology transfer in arid and semi-arid lands agriculture. The delegation comprised of 6staff and 2 PhD students from Lanzhou University. The delegation held talks with Director KARI and later visited KARI NARL (soils laboratories and GIS laboratories), KARI Thika (the Practical Training Centre and SongaMbeleCommunity Development Initiative) and KARI Katumani (the Kenya Seed Unit, legumes research demonstration farm and the fruit tree nursery).
