By virtue of their hardy nature, camels are considered the undisputed ships of the desert. However, going by the way they are playing an increasingly important role in combating current climatic changes, this humped dromedary that evolved from a proto camel in North America more than 60 million years ago, could have some more twenty innovative ideas for us for the next twenty years.

The Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI) has initiated an ambitious Ksh. 40 million plan to increase camel production in Kenya.
The money, which will be released in this year’s budgetary allocations, will be used to establish a camel research center in Garissa, according to KARI director Ephraim Mukisira.
