Bioline International

Bioline International is an electronic publishing service, founded in 1993. It is operated by bioscientists and librarians who believe that scientific information can be distributed more widely, more cheaply and with added scientific value using electronic means.
Its initial content consisted of online versions of mainstream, printed bioscience journals from the developed world. However, it has increasingly expanded its scope to focus on the distribution of peer-reviewed but less well known journals from developing countries, as well as to explore the potential for online-only journals.

In January, 2004, Bioline International made a strong commitment to the Open Access movement and converted the entire website to a fully open access provider of quality bioscience journals published in developing countries. During this process, any journal material that could not be converted to open access was removed from the website. Though this meant that some of Bioline's longstanding journal partners had to withdraw from the project, the conversion was met with enthusiasm and support from most participants.

AgEcon Search : Research in Agricultural and Applied Economics

AgEcon Search: Research in Agricultural and Applied Economics is a World Wide Web site developed and maintained at the University of Minnesota by Magrath Library and the Department of Applied Economics. The site has received encouragement and financial support from the American Agricultural Economics Association, the Economic Research Service of the United States Department of Agriculture, and the Farm Foundation as well as the University of Minnesota.

AgEcon Search collects, indexes, and electronically distributes full text copies of scholarly research in the broadly defined field of agricultural economics including sub disciplines such as agribusiness, food supply, natural resource economics, environmental economics, policy issues, agricultural trade, and economic development. AgEcon Search will serve as the permanent archive for this literature and encourages authors and organizations to use this electronic library as the storehouse for additional appropriate scholarly electronic works. The Instructions for Submitting Papers page provides information for potential contributors to AgEcon Search.

The database is searchable by any words used in the citations and abstracts. The full text papers are available in PDF format that offers three options for using the papers - read online, download, or print. The Acrobat Reader software is free and available to be downloaded to your computer from Adobe. You will need version 2.0 or higher in order to access most papers. (The oldest version 1.0 does not work with this database.) It is best to update to the newer versions as they are released.

Papers posted on AgEcon Search may not be posted to another Internet site without the written consent of the authors. Users may download papers for personal, non-commercial use.

AgEcon Search, its staff and the University of Minnesota are not liable for any loss, damage, or costs arising from infringement of these rights.
It is the responsibility of the author to request removal of papers from AgEcon Search.
