Kari Headquaters Library caters for
all agricultural scientists both from
KARI and other institutions through
acquiring, identifying and accessing
appropriate information sources.
Collection
Kenya Agricultural Research Institute
library has amassed a large collection
of monographs and journals with disciplines
ranging from agricultural economics
to livestock. Users are provided with
electronic access to external sources
of information through the internal
and external database on CD-ROM or
the Internet.
Time
The library is opened from Monday
to Friday between 8:0 0am to 5:00pm,
it remains closed on weekends and
public holidays.
Users
The library is primarily intended
for KARI staff, visiting scientists
and participants in various training
programmes. On the other hand scientists
from other research institutions in
Kenya use the library for reference
and reading purpose, they may borrow
items from the library through the
inter- library loan facility. The
library to subscribes journals and
external databases. Books and periodicals
are circulated to KARI scientists
and other institution that collaborate
with KARI.
The library has experienced information
professionals who assist users in
carrying out literature searches and
other services.
