- Breed Pyrethrum Clones and Varieties with desirable characteristics
- Collect, maintain and preserve pyrethrum germplasm

- Conduct a Situational analysis on the current status of pyrethrum production in Kenya
- Study the use of short duration grain legumes as suitable intercrops in pyrethrum
- Assess the production, use, acceptability, and availability of botanical plants and their role in agricultural value chain
- Study effects of different soil amendments strategies on soil fertility in pyrethrum fields
