Unlike the Nairobi Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Shows, Judges in the South Eastern version in Machakos give time to exhibitors to fully set their Stands before being evaluated in all categories. This time round, the exercise went on until late in the evening. KARI-Katumani was at its best in convincing the 3 groups of judges who had patiently stalked all Stands, and they had to declare that judgement would begin at 3 pm ... and when it finally ended, Katumani scooped awards in all the categories evaluated, 1st position in the Research and development project; 2nd position in Agrobased statutory board and 3rd position in appropriate Interpretation of the Show theme, Driving Agribusiness for Food Sufficiency and Vision 2030.
