Mandate
KARI Naivasha Research Centre addresses all aspects related to nutrition/feeding, breeding and general management of dairy, dual-purpose Sahiwal cattle, the dual-purpose goat and poultry. The centre is a referral facility for development of technologies to support sustainable livestock production. These technologies will probably need to be adapted before inclusion in the production packages targeted to a cluster of mandate districts for a given centre. The two farms associated with Naivasha, Ol Joro Orok and Ol’Magogo, play a commercial role for generation of net revenue.
