KARI– Kitale Scoops prizes at 12th KARI Biennial Conference held in Nairobi, Kenya

Congratulation to participants in the 12th KARI Biennial scientific conference

I take this opportunity to thank all members of staff of KARI Kitale who participated in the 12th KARI Biennial conference which was held from 8th to 12 the November, 2010 in KARI Headquarter in Nairobi.  I recognize those members of staff who directly and indirectly contributed in carrying out of the research work and writing the final papers that were presented in the conference. A total of eight presentations (four oral papers and five posters) were made in the conference.

Out of which three papers won the best prizes:
-    1st. best  prize paper in Socio-economics - Ms. Joan Komen
-    1st. best paper in Post-Harvest - Dr. Elizabeth Wanjekeche
-    3rd. best  prize paper in Crop Protection - Dr. Maragaret Mulaa
This is a commendable job for those who participated in the conference that is worthy emulating. We need to build on this performance in the upcoming events in research work.
