Stanley W. Maingi is a Laboratory Technologist and has a Higher Diploma in Analytical Chemistry and works with the Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition Research programme. He has been trained extensively on the use of nuclear techniques in agricultural research by the IAEA at their laboratories in Seibersdolf, Austria. He was also trained on basic maintenance and operations of analytical instruments such as, the AAS, GCMS and UV in Turkey. He supports a team of research scientists in the programme in achieving their goals through the analysis of soil and plant tissue samples from variuos research projects. He is also incharge of the Isotope Laboratory and general maintenance of the specialized equipments such as the Emission and Mass Spectrometers and lately the NIR Grain Analyzer.
