Kabete: Simon N. Wanjogu

Simon N. Wanjogu is a holder of MSc in Soil Science with background in geology. He works with the land use planning programme (Kenya Soil Survey) and has over 25 years professional experience in the field  of soil survey and land evaluation/assessment for different uses. He has experience in carrying out soil assessments for sustainable rainfed and  irrigated agriculture, non-agricultural uses,  land use planning, environmental impacts of current and potential land uses and giving recommendations on possible preventative or remedial management strategies. He has worked for local and international clients within and outside the country and  has been involved in training agriculture and irrigation extension staff in different areas of natural resource and environment management. He has experience  in teaching at tertiary and university level on soil science, land evaluation, land degradation and remote sensing.
