John M. Kibe is a Research Officer and  has a  Post Graduate Diploma in soil survey from ITC, the Netherlands and a BSc in soil science from WVU, USA. He works with the land use planning programme and is involved in carrying out  soil surveys at various levels (scales) for  land inventory, evaluation for various land use alternatives and assessment and evaluation of saline, saline-sodic and sodic soils, for their suitability for irrigation.
