Elias G. Thuranira holds a Bachelor of Science in agriculture and a Master of Science in Biometry. He has a work experience of 22 years in statistical data analysis, presentation and interpretation of results. He has been involved in advisory services to scientists and other development agents on sampling procedures, experimental design for agronomic, and socio-economics research studies. In addition, he has also been involved in data analysis and interpretation for various projects, students ( BSc, MSc and PhD). He has together with other persons published papers in  journals, conferences and workshop proceedings and contributed to at least one book chapter. He has a good knowledge of statistical computer packages like the SAS, STATA, GENSTAT and PASW STATISTICS 18 and other packages such as MS Word, Powerpoint Excel Access among others.
